Met one of the ladies today in sub 30 degree temperatures. I kept thinking about a good friend and an original Crossfit old towner who runs in this cold crap all the time with a 60-some pound ruck sack. I told myself "no whinning," and then I told myself "go faster."
What was interesting is that the cold wasn't the toughest thing to overcome in this workout. It's actually much more sneaky. It's the feeling that your forearms are ripping out of your body. The KB swings and pullups?? Argh!
Despite all of this incessant complaining I really like this lady, and I'm really happy with my time.
I didn't stop. No getting off the bar. No dropping the kettlebell. Rest later.
